Cheerleading Coach/Assistant Coach
Children In The Community Upward Sports
The coaching staff is the face of the Upward Sports ministry for the children playing and their families. With just a basic understanding of the sport, we will provide you all the resources you need to be a successful coach within the ministry, including pre-season training, detailed practice plans, a coach’s book and app for your smartphone that will literally baby step you through the entire season, and more. The time commitment for a cheer coach is 2-3 hours a week from January through March with one weeknight practice and one Saturday game (8 weeks). Cheer coaches are required to attend one pre-season meeting in October/November that lasts 2-3 hours and strongly recommended to attend the Cheer Clinic the first weekend in December (3 hours). All coaches must complete an application and background check process before being allowed to work with children.
