Purpose
The purpose of an Usher, Greeter, and Welcome Center volunteer is to honor God by providing service for those people who are visiting our church for the first time, as well as, those that attend the church regularly.
Ushers
The role of an usher is to meet the needs of those attending worship service.
Duties may include:
Opening and closing doors for service.
Handing out bulletins and warmly welcoming those in attendance.
Providing assistance in seating if required.
Assisting in the collection of the offering; sometimes including the offertory prayer if willing.
Answering any questions attendees may have, and providing for whatever needs they may have.
Greeters
Greeters are stationed at the church entrances and their main duty is to welcome people to church. The emphasis is on trying to recognize first-time visitors so that they can be directed to the Welcome Center. Following a visitor introduction, you may take them to meet the staff at the welcome center and they will assist the visitor from that point on. You may also have to assist people who need assistance exiting or entering their cars.
The role of staff at the Welcome Center is to completely meet the needs of the visitor(s). This may include the following:
Getting their children registered for the correct nursery or Sunday School class.
Helping the adult in selecting their Sunday school class and introducing them to the teacher.
Informing them of worship times and the various ministries of our church.
Answering any questions they may have and making them feel most welcome at our church.
Who Are You Serving?
All people who enter our church, whether for the first time or a member.

These ministries appeal to any person that wants to honor God by participating in the function of His church. In particular, those people that are social, outgoing, and friendly should enjoy service in one of these ministries.
