I am Esther Murray and I was born Deaf. I gave my life to Christ when I was 8 years old and baptized shortly after that. In those days there were no Sign Language Interpreters, so I had no idea what was being said during the baptism. Years later I was baptized again with an interpreter and fully understood the meaning behind it.
The class is taught in ASL (Sign Language) and is voiced for the hearing congregation to understand. As a group, we read Scripture together and have open group discussions with drama to truly understand the concepts being taught. I love Jesus Christ and it has been such a blessing to see the testimonies that are shared in the classroom. The group appeals to deaf of all ages.
